War Room at Escape the City

Today I had a lunch booked to share learnings of up to the minute Social Media developments with Rob Symington and Dom Jackman at the Headquarters of their recently launched enterprise Escape the City.

Getting a glimpse of Rob and Dom’s HQ is a treat – the walls are covered in plans – post-it notes, maps, contacts, even a board pinned with notes of their 100 things to do before you die.

I also am scheduled to build Prezi training for a client, so what better way to spend the day than to accept Rob’s offer to hotdesk at their office and work from the ESC offices today?

The boys and I all have a background in Management Consultancy – in those days we’d block book meeting rooms for 3 months and cover the walls in a similar way. The format for the rooms we organised like this was taken from Churchill’s day in Wartime Britain. It was called a War Room.
